OBI operates ongoing research and development programs for raw materials to produce a library of patented and proprietary bioactive ingredients and delivery systems, which are incorporated into cosmeceutical and dermocosmetic skincare and eyelash/hair growth products used worldwide. Bioactive skin science technology has been and continues to be based on the ability to measure the effect of an ingredient or formulated product on living skin.

Researchers at OBI focus on specific areas of regenerative processes in skin and hair to develop ingredients that can positively alter these processes. These ingredients are classified according to their effects on gene expression, as validated by our in-house scientific team using cell culture and qPCR.
